Parents as partners

Pound Lane Daycare strongly encourage parents and carers as partners. We all have the best interest of your children at our hearts and that is why we aim to support you wherever possible as well as your children should the need arise. 

We believe that the children seeing positive interactions between staff and parents gives them a stable and firm base from where to grow.

We have an ‘open door’ policy which allows you to speak with your key person or a manager when required, although verbal feedback is given at collection time on your child’s day and a home link book will be provided. We welcome you to be involved in the life of the nursery in many ways. 

We will ask for your suggestions for improvement through questionnaires. We have “homework” that can be sent home should you wish to do this (please note that it isn’t compulsory – parents expressed an interest) and the toddler room has “bertie bear” – a stuffed toy that goes home with a child for the weekend.

Pound Lane Daycare have a dedicated facebook group that is private to parents only. The nursery holds coffee mornings and stay and play sessions and parents are encouraged to attend. There are craft activity mornings, Christmas craft days, carol services, sports days and many more activities that parents will be invited to.
